This is the battle guide for NU:Carnival’s Sorcerer’s Trials: “Keen Tracker Rei”.
This guide is based on Trial Level 55.

This stage includes a gimmick where if a character uses an ultimate skill and then uses another within 3 turns, the enemy triggers ≪Resistance Down≫, leading toward a forced loss.
Therefore, avoid team setups intended to continuously use ultimates within 3 turns (e.g., Space Blade builds).
Since the enemy is water attribute, fire types are at a disadvantage.
This stage’s gimmick pushes you closer to forced defeat once your HP drops below 2%.
Even neutral elements take considerable damage, so it’s best to avoid fire types altogether.

“Resistance Down” means one stack of “Limit Count” was lost.
This triggers when a character’s HP drops below 2%.
If the “Limit Count” reaches zero, it results in forced defeat. So keep an eye on the HP of all party members.
Attacking to handle the gimmick also causes self-damage.
So it’s safer to have characters with only 1 “Limit Count” stack left defend during the gimmick phase.

- Outside the gimmick phase, actively use basic attacks and ultimate skills to lower the enemy’s HP
(Attacking during the gimmick phase damages both enemy and yourself)
- Ultimates: Save one “ultimate skill with attack effect” (for 6n+5T phase)
- STEP16n+1T: Land 3 basic attacks → Heal → Others Defend or Ultimate
[1T, 7T, 13T, 19T, 25T, 31T, 37T, 43T, 49T…]
- Land 3 basic attacks to cancel the enemy’s “240% damage increase”
- “Basic attacks with damage judgment” hurt the attacker, so monitor HP
- “Non-damaging basic attacks” won’t hurt the user, so they’re safe
- Ultimate skills don’t cause self-damage, so they’re safe too
- STEP26n+3T: Everyone Defend (Including Healers)

- Attacking causes guaranteed self-damage
- STEP36n+5T: Use 1 Ultimate → 1 Basic Attack → Others Defend (Including Healers)
[5T, 11T, 17T, 23T, 29T, 35T, 41T, 47T…]
- Characters attacking here will take major damage. Use ones you’re okay losing a “Limit Count” from.
- You only need to reduce enemy HP by 1%, so others should defend
(Taking damage here is severe; prioritize HP and preserving “Limit Count”) - Healers should defend too (even non-damaging attacks cause self-damage)
