[NUCarnival] Desert Island Knockout "Survival" Battle Guide High Difficulty Stages

This is the battle strategy page for the high-difficulty stage “Survival 02” of the NU:Carnival “Desert Island Knockout!” event.

There are turns where a “hard hit excluding the 3rd position” occurs.
If the taunt character (such as a Guardian) is paralyzed and unable to defend during this, their HP may not hold, so it’s safest to place them in the third slot.

Recommended: Character who can ‘Taunt’ via Ultimate Skill

There are turns where you need both a “taunt” and to “land an ultimate skill on the enemy gimmick.”
So it’s recommended to use a character who can taunt via their ultimate skill to help handle the gimmick smoothly (e.g., SR Morvay).

8n+10T: The 3rd position attacks last

This is a gimmick where basic attacks from non-3rd characters “increase the enemy’s chance of becoming paralyzed,” and then the 3rd character finishes to inflict paralysis.
If the 3rd character attacks first, the enemy won’t become paralyzed and the gimmick will fail.

Outside the gimmick phases
  • Ultimate skills:
  • It’s recommended to save “ultimate skills with attack detection” (for 8n+7T)
  • It’s recommended to save “Taunt” (for 8n+4T)
  • Other than the above, you don’t need to save anything. You can use it anytime (e.g., healers and supporters without attack judgment).
  • STEP1
    8n+4T: Taunt

    [4T, 12T, 20T, 28T, 36T, 44T…]

    • If taunt is not used: characters other than the 3rd are paralyzed (2T)
  • STEP2
    8n+5T: All except 3rd character should defend (including healers)

    [5T, 13T, 21T, 29T, 37T, 45T…]

    • After this, a hard hit will come to everyone except the 3rd character
    • Depending on HP, you might survive even without defending
  • STEP3
    8n+7T: Use 2 Taunts or Ultimate Skills with Attack Detection; Others Optional

    [7T, 15T, 23T, 31T, 39T, 47T…]

    • Ultimate skills without attack detection are not counted (e.g., healer ultimates)
    • If using basic attacks for taunting, you need to cast 3 ultimate skills
    • The gimmick is to cast 3 ultimate skills to neutralize the enemy’s “+200% turn-by-turn damage dealt” effect
  • STEP4
    8n+10T: Others use basic attack → 3rd attacks last
